Beginning Birding

  • In this relaxed and fun beginning birding class, we will go slow and break bird ID down using four primary characteristics, practice identifying birds together, discuss binoculars, make friends with at least a few local bird species, and more. You will need to bring binoculars to class.

 Wildflower Identification Made Easy!
  • March 16 and 23
  • 10am-noon
  • $30/class or $50 for both
  • Limited to 12 participants
  • Outdoor Ashland location given out after you register
  • In this interactive two-part class, we will learn how to identify the seven most common flowering plant families in our region so that wildflower ID becomes much easier. We will look at flowers up close to see their spectacularly beautiful and intricate parts, practice identifying flowers together, and more. Note: We will learn about different plant families and flowers in each of the two classes, but you are not required to attend both. Hand lenses will be available to borrow.
